Written as a response to modern football, much like modern society, with the disappearance of loyalty, and the manifestation of vanity and greed.

Take me somewhere away from my home,
for a company car and a brand new phone,
let me join Blue Moon.

It's not a question of unhappiness,
we don't care about the badge on our chests,
let me join Blue Moon.

I've already made it but man, I can't taste it,
my ego is soaked up in real history,
but pay me and maybe I'll go and show you some love.

I got my millions for disloyalty,
and my face in the fan magazine,
now I've joined Blue Moon.

I can take it, sure hope that I can,
now that you know that I certainly will go far,
any chance, it can't be missed and as long as I don't go breaking bones.

I jumped in too quick and got carried away,
now I'm stuck on a stretcher at the end of the day,
but pay me and maybe I'll go and show you some love.

Why did you let me go?
I wanna come back on loan.
Never let me go again.
Now that I'm home.

The Routines Caernarfon, UK

The Routines are a three-piece band hailing from Snowdonia. They are three friends who write and shout about their nights out and days in. Disillusioned with society's 'How To Be A Good And Co-Operative Civilian' life-guide, they write and shout about it instead of using that emotion to burn down council buildings or something of that nature! ... more
